GDRA Race #1 Presented By CoolRidesOnline.net

Are you ready to for some hard core drag racing action? Well the GDRA has proven that its the place to race!!! That’s right… it’s time to go racing, GDRA style!!! 2012 is all set to kick off and to get the season started off the right way is the first race taking place at Great Lakes Dragaway on Saturday, May 19^th.

The GDRA over the winter has done it again… We have added a fourth class on a limited basis. The racers have been begging for it and now they got it, 9.50 index racers… get ready because it’s your turn to race with the GDRA for CASH payouts!!! Since the GDRA was formed back in 2010, racers have been asking the same thing, “When are you guys going to have a 9 second class?” Well that time is now as the GDRA will include the new 9.50 class in 5 of its 10 races limiting the field to the first 16 entries received. The 9.50 class will race strictly at Byron Dragway and Cordova Dragway during the 2012 season. All the same rules apply that have become common across the other 3 classes of racing but the Buy-In will be a reduced level of only $125.00 per race. We are super excited about this class and its sure to be a hit as drivers have swamped the PO Box with entry forms and racing information requests. The GDRA will also of course continue with its 8.60, 7.80, and the country’s only 6.90 index class as these classes have had great success and are only receiving more and more interest. All cars in any of the 4 classes the GDRA has to offers must pass tech and also have an oil retention device. All classes will be limited to a 32 car qualified field with the exception of the 9.50 class (as mentioned earlier), utilize a Pro-tree, and a Pro Qualifying ladder. All classes will remain 100% paid out in cash which will be 100% of the racers money paid in. That’s $4250 to the winner of each class based on a 32 car field payout!!! Over the winter months, the association has had lots of eyes on it and attracted the attention of a lot of people. One of which will be making his return to competitive drag racing this season with the GDRA. Bill Neri will bring his famous, Prosecutor Nova back to the 2 lane blacktop and compete in the GDRA’s 6.90 class when not match racing his Warren Johnson Pro Stock tribute Camaro across the country. We are very excited to see Bill back on the track in his beautiful Nova. Many of you may remember this car from its Pro Mod days back in the 90’s. Well it’s all ready to set out on another chapter of its life, racing with the GDRA. Bill has many years of experience on the track and is a very well known figure in door slammer racing. The level of competition in the 6.90 class just got higher and a little tougher for everyone as Bill will prove to be a tough customer during the entire season. We cannot wait to see this icon back behind the wheel of “The Prosecutor!!!”

GDRA at the 5th Annual Race and Performance Expo !!!

The Gamblers Drag Racing Association will once again be taking part in the 5th Annual Race and Performance Expo along with Official Marketing Partners Powermaster Performance and Automotive Racing Products ARP. This will mark the second year the GDRA has taken part in the expo involving all things racing and will do so once again along side Powermater Performance taking to racers. The GDRA will be answering questions regarding the races, handing out schedules for the upcoming 2012 racing season, payout information, sign up sheets, merchandise, and all information regarding the GDRA will be available at booth 530/532 right next to Powermaster. Come on out talk to some of the racers, staff, and of course our good friends at Powermaster Performance and see what they have to offer you and your ride. Also while your there be sure to check out Automotive Racing Products (ARP) in both 418. We all know you need new hardware to make sure that horsepower stays right where it supposed and in one piece so stop by and chat with the folks at ARP.

Show dates and hours are February 25th from 9am to 5pm and February 26th with show hours from 9am to 4pm. Admission is $10 for all and parking is free. After the show on Saturday feel free to stick around resort and grab a bite to eat, take in a show, or just hang out with people from all over the motorsports industry. Hope to see a lot of new faces this season and this is the perfect oppertunity for you to come on out and introduce yourself. See you there!!!

GDRA All-In Showdown Presented by Unlimited Building Services, Inc.

Well it’s been another great season of drag racing with the Gamblers Drag Racing Association and there is only one way to end it all… with the largest CASH payout race of the season!!! On Saturday October 15th, the GDRA will host its annual All-In Showdown presented by Unlimited Building Services, Inc. as part of the Nitrous Street Car Brawl taking place at Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove, Wisconsin. This race will have the largest cash payout of the season and will also have tons of prizes available to all the racers. Special entry applies to the 8.60 class for this event. Entry will be invitation only and is open to 8.60 racers that have qualified by competing in at least 5 of the regular season events during the 2011 season. The 7.80 and 6.90 classes will remain open to any and all entries so if you have what it takes, please come on out and race the hottest heads up program in the Midwest. So, all three classes will be putting on an amazing show and will not disappoint. Last season this event saw total cash and prizes of over $7500 for just a one day event with only one class. This year with three classes of racing, that amount is certain to climb. Total payout information will be forth coming as we are in negotiations with current, potential 2012, and single race Marketing Partners working out packages that will benefit the racers, fans, and Marketing Partners. If you are interested in becoming involved, please contact us immediately. We have packages for any budget!!! Deadline for entry into the event is Saturday, October 1st Midnight (Central Standard Time) so if you are eligible to participate, make sure you get your entry in as soon as possible. If you are not eligible, come on out and enjoy the wildest show on 4 wheels in the Midwest!!! You won’t be disappointed.

GDRA Race #8 Presented by VFN Fiberglass

With only 1 race left before the 2nd Annual All-In Showdown, the action on the track is going to heat up as drivers and crews start to prepare for the highest payout of the season. The next event on the schedule will take place this Saturday September 17th presented by VFN Fiberglass at Great Lakes Dragaway as part of the Nitrous Street Car Brawl and is the teams last chance to qualify for the All-In Showdown in October. To do this teams must have attended at least 5 regularly sanctioned GDRA events during the 2011 season and we can tell you that its going to come down to this last race for few. The GDRA will be running its normal programs this weekend with 3 classes of high octane door slammer action, 8.60, 7.80, and 6.90 competing door handle to door handle at speeds of 160 miles an hour plus. Our 8.60 class seen some of the largest 8 second index door slammer fields anywhere and its anticipated that this class will live up to its stellar car counts once again. Interested in coming to race with an association that means business? We still have spots for you and would love to see some more new faces taking getting their chance at the largest all cash payout in the Midwest. For all 3 classes of racing the breakdown is like this, qualified fields run on a Pro Qualifying ladder using a .400 Heads up Pro-Tree. 100% all cash payouts totaling up to $4250 to win in each class based on that 32 car field!!! No one pays out more for this type of racing… and that’s a fact! No checks to worry about here… nothing but Benjamin’s baby!!!
